Sinomarin Plus Algae ENT* improves symptoms and modulates cytokine/chemokine levels in patients with nasal polyposis following surgery

Post, after the removal o the nasal packs (after surgery); Final, three days after the end of the nasal douching. All results are presented as mean ± standard deviation.

Concentrations of EGF, TGF-α and IL-8 in nasal secretion samples on 17th day after the removal of nasal packing (3rd day after the end of nasal douching).

Sinomarin Plus Algae ENT modulated the levels of cytokine/chemokines in nasal secretions versus the control group**:

↑ EGF level, indicative of wound healing, is significantly higher

↓ TGF-α, indicative of inflammation & stress, and

↓ IL-8, indicative of inflammation are significantly lower

Sinomarin was more effective than isotonic saline in symptom improvement, local nasal findings, and in the direction of healing of the nasal mucosa after ESS
